Nicaragua has 5 main growing regions for coffee. We source our coffee from the Jinotega region which is at a lower altitude than some of the other regions. It also has rich volcanic soil with a humid and tropical climate. The coffee industry is very important to the country, providing nearly half of the agricultural jobs. The country recently adopted a national coffee strategy to improve farm management and income.
