Costa Rica has passed legislation requiring all coffee plants to be of the Arabica type. There are two main types of coffee, Arabica and Robusta. Arabica is a very flavorful type of coffee, and it is what you will find in almost all specialty coffee shops. Robusta usually has a more harsh and bitter taste and is frequently found in instant coffee.
